ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Logan Stefonek, founder of Old Devil Fine Wares, is a seasoned ceramic artist and educator based in Portland, Oregon. With a BFA in Painting & Drawing from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Logan brings a rich background in visual storytelling and form. His path to ceramics has been shaped by diverse experiences—including illustration, museum work, baking, and activism—all of which inform his thoughtful, hands-on teaching style. Through his studio practice and instruction, Logan encourages students to explore clay as a medium for both creative expression and personal reflection.

Intro to Wheel: Beginner’S Mind

Enjoy a two hour workshop focused on teaching you the basics of throwing on a pottery wheel and introducing you to mindfulness practice and the concept of beginner’s mind. We'll do a throwing demonstration, a brief guided mindfulness practice and then help you make pots on the wheel!

Clay date:
For Two Beginners

Saturdays

6:00 to 8:00 PM

Cost: $290 (covers two people)

Enjoy a clay date with your sweetie or your bestie! We'll teach you the basics of wheel throwing and then help you make cups and other pots during this two hour workshop. The class also includes activities that you can do in and out of the studio to deepen your connection between you and your partner!
